Grey Iron Castings
Overview
We use high-grade Grey Iron Castings designed to offer excellent machinability, vibration damping, thermal conductivity, and dimensional stability. Our components are used in demanding industries like automotive, valves, and power equipment.

Applications / Industries
Automotive
Light-duty engine parts, suspension components, housings
Agriculture
Tractor components, gearbox parts, machinery parts with wear resistance
Power Equipment
Rotating equipment, components needing thermal conductivity
Industrial Machinery
Gears, brackets, couplings, general-purpose parts with balanced strength
We use the following Grey Iron Grades, each with their EN and ASTM equivalents:
Grade | EN Equivalent | ASTM Equivalent | Typical Use |
---|---|---|---|
FG 150 | EN-GJL-150 | ASTM A48 Class 20 | High damping capacity; suitable for low-load components. |
FG 200 | EN-GJL-200 | ASTM A48 Class 30 | Good strength and thermal conductivity; ideal for light-duty automotive applications. |
FG 220 | EN-GJL-220 | ASTM A48 Class 35 | Enhanced tensile strength for slightly heavier applications. |
FG 250 | EN-GJL-250 | ASTM A48 Class 40 | Balanced strength and machinability for industrial parts. |
FG 260 | EN-GJL-260 | ASTM A48 Class 45 | Commonly used in agricultural machinery for its wear resistance. |
FG 300 | EN-GJL-300 | ASTM A48 Class 50 | Excellent wear resistance for rotating equipment and structural parts. |
FG 350 | EN-GJL-350 | ASTM A48 Class 60 | High-strength grey iron, suitable for pressure-retaining components. |
